For the Ages
The Angels Stand By
with the soft light of heavens glow
As the people of the earth say goodbye
to the departing of
one the great souls
and the petals of heavens garden
fall down to fill an empty space
For one of God’s Children Is returning home
from this Earth once
his temporary dwelling place
And here on Earth we are given gifts that are needed
When the time is right for brave ones to come here
And they decide to do what is right
To help others overcome their fear
And each candle lit in memory
And each pilgrim that carries the flame on
With the
determination of the purpose
To work for good in their time given here
Helps to free the chains
Of oppression and the limitations placed
On others who so need to be free
So we can live together peacefully on Earth
For we are all one in spirit in God’s holy domain
And the efforts of the ones who understand
Are so needed to overcome suffering and pain.
As the people on earth say goodbye.
As the angels stand by
And there is a blazing light that is seen
As the gates of Heaven Open
And a great ones soul is welcomed home
For he is now he is remembered
As one for the ages
And his work here on Earth is done
