The soft smile of an Angel
Greets me this dawn
Accompanied by the echoes
of a life’s sweet song
A bell tolls at the break of the day
as a bird crosses over to heaven today
and there’s the promise of the rising sun
that paint the clouds golden as they dance with fun
I reach to touch the morning star
It is so present right here and yet so far
It directs me to take a moment to pray
to open my heart to this perfect day
and the soft smile of an Angel
brings such grace that bids me stay
as the breath of the morning calls
as the sleeping ones awake
Breathe in the fragrance of the morning star
Feel the magic right here were you are
Sing the song of the angels grace
That brings blessings
of love to this place
Celebrate this life you are given each day
As a sacred time to live and to play
For life is short, it’s here and then gone
with just the memory of an angels song
Let us rejoice in the memory of the Joy
you brought to our heart
The gift of this life you offered
And laughter that you were always a part
