A Helping Hand
Sometimes
We are brought to our knees
to the point where we must pray
And when there is so much more than we can do
we need to ask for help to find a way.
And when we reach that point in Life
stop and look up to the sky
And ask for help to carry on
And realize you are not alone
And though you may have thought
It was just you and you alone
That could find a way get through it all
You are brought to see you can’t make it all alone.
And at that point you pray for help
And then you realize that it’s there for you.
God and all his angels,
And the good people who you might not know
come forth to stand by you.
So when your tired and weary
And this life has brought you down
Don’t be afraid to ask for help
To get what you need done.
And be open to the reminder
That sometimes when we are brought to our knees
a light will shine through the darkness
And the heart’s burdens are lifted and released
And it’s not even a miracle that happens
It’s just the Grace of God that you can find
When you ask for help along the way
Someone will come lend a helping hand.
Or an angel breathes a little love
And your heart will find some strength
And you feel a little less overwhelmed
And you thank God for the Saving Grace.
And you stop and feel so thankful
To the angels and the ones
Who come to lend a helping hand
And help to see you on.
