Loving Memories
Loving memories come to us this day
Gifts that drift to us from those distant days
And nourish our hearts and lighten our souls
They help us bridge the distance we must go
Although we’re far apart
They reach us from across the bridge
That crosses to the other side
And I feel them as they bring a smile
These Happy memories from your heart
That sing to us with the Love which they were made
And so we have what we need
To get us through the time apart
They are momentos that always bring
A smile, a pause to remember
Those times and the important parts
And though you may be far away
I swear sometimes I hear
the echoes of what you said
with your voice speaking to my head
and so you are alive in me
with the blessings that still come
and when I reflect back on my life
I realize you made sure with those things we did
We would always have
