Behind the Mask of God
Do not seek to take the Shortcuts in life
For you miss the
blessings of the longer Road
and every time you try to mask the pain of living
you block a reality that will teach you
so much more than you
might know
For Perseverance Furthers
And all those hard times that come your way
Are there to teach you lessons
And awaken you to the light of a better day.
And life and it’s illusions are just a passing dream
And each every perception
Brings an understanding that can heal.
And when we choose the long road
Truth will teach us to see
What’s behind creations form
Til we find our selves spinning free
And with each breath there is a hope
to see the whole world embraced
By God’s greater plan of Peace
For the whole human race.
For the love that birthed us is the safety net
Of this precious time and space
It is the truth that is hidden
Behind the mask of God’s faceless face
And so we are the offering
and we do not run
away from life
but reach out to human kind
To find we are the
expression
that God reveals to us in time.
And with each
precious moment
When we have the courage to reveal our heart
The mask that hides God’s face to us
Is there behind our eyes.
