Can we ever know
The price that the veterans made
For all those who served paid in so many ways
With their minds, their hearts
and the time
when they were away
For it’s been a long, long journey
that they have
had to make
And even if they are back at home
Those things the did brought changes
To the lives they live today.
The wounds that
were received
left scars that can’t be seen to many
but they still have all the memories
and the price they had to pay
is still being
paid in so many ways
And we pray for their lives to be restored
And their loved ones to all be there
And be strong as they support them
For who know what it takes
to always love
through the hardship and fear.
And we still pray for peace
And we hope the world is getting there
But we know it’s a long, long journey
And we still have a lot to do before it’s here.
And we stop today and recognize
For the service that they gave
And for all the veterans who gave the lives
We send out our heartfelt prayers.
For they made such a sacrifice
And who can know how they did what they had to do
and the courage
it took
and the pain that they endured
And so on this Veterans day
We stop and say thank you
For the service and strength
And may the blessings of God’s peace
Be with you and be there with you
And when your
in need
may you find
help upon your way.
