Lord, teach me to be a better
servant
So that I can trust in you
And do all that you would
need me to do
and share these gifts you’ve
given me to use
May I learn to be humble
For I have so much to learn
And there are many things I
thought I knew
That I might need to relearn
There are so many here who
can teach me
If I am open to hear and then
be aware of your presence
And have a beginners mind
again
And may I be reminded
That with your peace of mind
What I need will come to me
And if I trust you will help
me how to find
That in this life there are
so many ways
Your miracles are at work in
life here
I know that through your
blessings
What I need will always
appear.
And though I might not always
see
What is waiting up the road
I can have faith and trust
That
with your help I will be shown
How to be a humble servant
And be grateful for your
great love
And all the gift you’ve given
me
To be open to the spirit of
the Holy dove.
And my I find the best way
To fulfill my purpose in this
life
For I am but an instrument
To be play your song and
share your light
