The Power Struggle
We are all God’s Children
And we are given the gift of life
And we have our own free will to decide
How we create and live our dreams
in this school
of Earth our learning place
That teaches us so much while here we reside
And we learn from all the mistakes we make
in the way we wish to create our lives
In the time while we are here
And we fight to do it OUR way
And we think we can make it on our own
And we get into these Power struggles
And say it’s up to us to decide what we do.
And then through life we are shown
There is a way to work along with God
And use his help to see us through
For we are all God’s Children
Even if the Ego says it just us that’s in control
The sands of time have a way of blowing
With the Winds of life that will come to show
The castles that we build in sand
Where never meant to last
and so they
slip away, as life does
And we find that we need
To be able to work with God
And ask to do his will eventually
And with good will we can help others along
On the Pathway to be free
We can give up the battle and we stop spending time
defending how
we’re right and we were really wrong.
And we learn with the Grace of God
that comes sometimes in life
And we are blessed to see
we can live and work here on earth
That all these struggles we don’t need
If we just let good will bring us Peace
And ask for God to help guide us everyday
For we are all God’ Children
blessed with
his infinite love to guide the way
