to release this pain where it lives
there is nothing else to do
but look within where there's a higher truth
and all the questions and time
spent wondering why
spin in an endless circle
which would never free the mind
so I ask God to send some light
so it is possible to see
past the darkness to find
the path to that door of peace opening in me
so we have the strength to begin
to receive the love we need
to continue on this long journey
and break the chains that bind humanity
and with a breath of forgiveness
comes some understanding of this life
and the words from my heart carry a prayer
