how real is real 

behind that part of what you want to be 

do you dare reveal what’s beneath  

what you need to be redeemed 

only problem is 

it is really only real 

when you know the truth

which is more than you can see 

for each insight is translated 

in different dharmas of each dream 

 with lessons we use to feed 

the hungry heart of our chosen fantasies 

still behind all these illusions 

there’s the One  who Dreams this life

and directs the way we perceive

this dance of darkness and  light

and every one of our mystic schemes 

and that mysterious reality is woven 

through each opening from our soul

between our death and life again 

with each cycle we continue to grow

if for a moment we could be real  

there’s a doorway within  the mind 

and God is always waiting there 

beyond any definition we can find
