wondering if it helps to figure out
why things happen and where it’s at
if for a moment we can just accept
whatever unfolds and puts us to a test
can be more than we might ever get
and still we choose to be
Alive in this Creation dream
observing and preserving some reflection
of what we think we need
and when life turns up the intensity
can we find a way to stay in our integrity
when it all stops making sense
can we smile and have no resistance
and say ok
whatever is just us will happen anyway
but somewhere there in our soul
we hope and pray to God to show
the purpose of our being alive
and believe we can create a better life
So I turn it over to God today
and surrender to whatever happens
and try to find the strength
and grace to face whatever comes my way
