Jonah and the Whale

Jonah

When Jonah was eaten by the whale
Such a long, long time ago,
There in the depths of the darkness he cried
God help me and get me out of this place here inside

And God heard Jonah and took pity on him
And sent his light to the depths where he was within
And the whale could not digest all that energy Jonah became
And spat Jonah out to the ocean again

And the waves carried Jonah to the Sands once more
And there he found the Peace of the sweet Heavens shores.
And Jonah Knelt on his knees and prayed
And thanked God for saving him from the Whale.

And the sands there brought Jonah great peace
And he was released by the Power of God and could see

And those very sands were sifted through time
And the hourglass that turns to here  is now refined
And which sand held Jonah and which was the whale
And of course deep Blue Ocean has lasted much longer than this tale.

And through the turning of hourglass of times changing tides
We come to recognize the Power of all the roles in which we hide
Sometimes we’re Jonah and Sometimes the Whale,
We once were the Oceans waters and its waves.

And we can choose to remember the roles that we played
As the hourglass of time turns over with our fates.

And when we are on the sweet sands of heavens shore
We can look out at all the things we endured
To take a moment to thank God for this life
And how it plays out with the turning of the hour glass of time.
